system is made of a reception antenna (green pyramid) and a control
unit connected by a screening cable.
Operating
features of DTfoudre The
reception antenna is installed on a pole. It
measures the level of electromagnetic disturbance generated by lightning
within a radius of 5 to 10 kms. The
control unit indicates the disturbance level on a bargraph. It
allows the setting of two alarm thresholds. When
the level of disturbance exceeds a threshold, the alarm is transmitted
by a relay, a flashing display and a buzzer sound.
